How the NuGenesis dip system works
- Prep Liquid #1 removes oil and moisture from the nail. It dries in about 30 seconds.
- Base Gel #2 is brushed on thin and the nail is dipped into the powder. NuGenesis suggests two to four coats.
- Activator Liquid #3 hardens the layers. The nail is then filed and buffed, and the activator is applied a second time.
- Super Shine Finish Gel #4 goes on in two coats and air-dries in about 2 minutes.
Common questions
Does NuGenesis dip powder need a UV lamp?
No. NuGenesis states that its dip process is self-drying and designed to be used without UV light. The finish gel dries in the air after Activator #3 has been applied.
How long does a NuGenesis dip manicure last?
NuGenesis says a dip manicure lasts 2 to 4 weeks, depending on how fast the natural nail grows.
How is NuGenesis dip powder removed?
NuGenesis gives two methods. The fastest: file off about 70% of the product, then wrap each nail in acetone-soaked cotton and foil for 5 to 10 minutes. Without filing, soak for 20 to 30 minutes.
How much powder is in each jar?
NuGenesis lists the 2 oz jar at 43 g of powder, the 4 oz jar at 100 g and the 16 oz jar at 454 g.
