Transfer gel is a gel that cures to a sticky surface, so a nail foil pressed onto it leaves its pattern on the nail. M1 Nail & Beauty Supply stocks foil transfer gels from Cre8tion and Notpolish, and stamping and transfer gel from Mr. Nail.
How to choose transfer gel
- For foil. Cre8tion Transfer Foil Gel 0.5oz goes over a cured base or colour and cures for 30 seconds before the foil is pressed on and peeled away. Notpolish Foil Transfer Gel 15ml cures in 30 seconds under LED or 2 minutes under UV to a sticky layer that lifts the design off the foil.
- Stamping and foil in one listing. Mr Nail Stamping Gel 5g comes as D412 glossy no-wipe stamping gel, D413 matte stamping gel and D414 transfer gel for foil; keep it away from light.

Transfer gel FAQ
Why won't my nail foil transfer onto the gel?
Usually the transfer gel was cured too long or not long enough, or the sticky layer was touched. Cure for the time on the bottle (Cre8tion and Notpolish give 30 seconds under LED), keep fingers off the surface, press the foil on firmly with the pattern side up, then peel it away.
What is the difference between stamping gel and transfer gel?
Stamping gel is spread on a stamping plate and picked up with a stamper to print a design onto the nail. Transfer gel is brushed onto the nail and cured so foil sticks to it. Mr. Nail sells both in one listing: D412 and D413 for stamping, D414 for foil.
