Acetone is the solvent nail techs use to soften and remove gel polish, dip powder and acrylic, and to take off nail polish. M1 Nail & Beauty Supply stocks La Palm acetone: 100% acetone in 1 gallon jugs and cases of four, to refill smaller bottles at each station. La Palm acetone is sold for in-store pickup at our Markham store.

Acetone FAQ
How do I soak off gel polish with acetone?
File off the shine of the top coat, place a cotton pad soaked in acetone on each nail and hold it in place with a foil wrap or clip. When the gel has softened and lifts, push it off gently with a cuticle pusher, then buff lightly and finish with cuticle oil.
Is 100% acetone the same as nail polish remover?
No. 100% acetone is pure acetone and is used mainly to soften gel, dip and acrylic. Polish removers are blends made for a job: some contain acetone with other ingredients, others are acetone-free and made for regular polish. Use pure acetone when a product says soak-off.
Order online and pick up at our Markham, Ontario store, usually ready in 2 to 4 hours. Flammable liquids such as alcohol and acetone are sold for in-store pickup only.
