How to choose nail containers
- Glass for liquids. Glass is not affected by monomer, acetone or brush cleaner, and it wipes clean.
- A lid for monomer. A lid slows evaporation and keeps filing dust out of the liquid between beads.
- One cup per job. Keep separate cups for acrylic liquid, brush cleaner and remover, so they never get mixed.

What is a dappen dish used for?
A dappen dish is a small cup that holds just the acrylic liquid, powder or brush cleaner you need for one service. Working from the dish keeps the main bottle and jar clean, and whatever is left over is thrown away instead of going back into the bottle.
How do I clean hardened acrylic out of a glass dappen dish?
Soak the glass cup in acetone until the acrylic softens, wipe it out with a lint-free pad, then wash it with soap and water. Let it dry fully before you pour liquid into it again. Wiping the cup out after each set stops acrylic from building up.
Should brush cleaner have its own container?
Yes. Keep brush cleaner in its own covered cup, away from the dappen dish you use for acrylic liquid, so the two never mix. Change the cleaner when it turns cloudy or thick.
