How do I know a hot stone is safe to place on a client?
Test it on the inside of your own forearm for a few seconds first. If it feels too hot to you, it is too hot for the client: let it cool or keep it moving. Keep a towel or sheet within reach and never leave a hot stone resting on bare skin unchecked.
How should massage stones be cleaned between clients?
Wash them in warm water with a mild soap to remove the oil, rinse, dry them with a clean towel and return them to the heater. Wipe out the heater as its instructions describe, and keep water away from the electrical parts.
