How to choose a wax remover

- Massage, then wipe. Sharonelle's directions: put a little oil on a cotton pad or your palm, massage it over the waxed area in circles until the residue lifts, then wipe the skin clean.

Wax remover FAQ
Why will water not take wax residue off the skin?
Soft wax does not dissolve in water, so washing only smears it. An after-wax oil dissolves the sticky film: massage a little over the area until it lifts, wipe the skin clean, and then apply your finishing gel or lotion.
Can I use wax remover to clean my wax warmer?
Use a product made for equipment. Sharonelle Citrus Natural Wax Cleaner is labelled for removing depilatory wax from equipment, not skin: switch the heater off, let it cool, scrape off thick wax, wipe with the cleaner, then wash and dry the surface. Clean + Easy says its Remove can also clean roller heads and warmers.
Does wax remover work on hard wax as well as soft wax?
Hard wax usually lifts off in one piece, but small bits can stay on the skin. GiGi describes Wax Off as lifting leftover hard and soft wax, and Clean + Easy says Remove works with all types of wax. Massage it over the area and wipe clean.
