Beauty Image Roll-On Wax Guide: Honey, Pink, Azulene or Olive Oil
By Edmond Lin, M1 Nail & Beauty Supply, Markham, Ontario. Last updated 11 October 2026. Details are taken from Beauty Image's own product information (the maker in Barcelona and its US distributor) and the labels on the cartridges in our stock.
Pick a Beauty Image roll-on wax by the client's skin: Honey (the brand's Classic Natural) for normal skin, large areas and strong hair; Pink (Crème Pink) for sensitive skin and sensitive areas when you want a fragrance-free wax; Azulene for delicate or dry skin; and Olive Oil (Nature Olive) for sensitive skin when a lightly scented, creamy wax is welcome. All four are soft waxes on a pine rosin base in the same 110 ml cartridge, they heat in the same warmer, and they are applied and removed the same way.

The four formulas at a glance
| Formula at M1 | Beauty Image name | Look and texture | Recommended for | Fragrance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Honey | Classic Natural | thin, translucent, honey colour | normal skin, large areas, strong hair; face and body | none added |
| Pink | Crème Pink | opaque, creamy, lower melting point | sensitive skin and sensitive areas; face and body | none added |
| Azulene | Classic Azulene | thin, translucent, blue | delicate, dry or sensitive skin; face and body | none in the published ingredient list |
| Olive Oil | Nature Olive | creamy, green | sensitive skin; face and body | slightly perfumed |
The "recommended for" column follows Beauty Image's own descriptions. M1 lists the Classic Natural cartridge as "Honey" because of its colour; the label on the cartridge reads "Natural".
Which formula for which client
- Legs, arms and backs with strong hair on normal skin:Honey. It is thin and translucent, so you can see the hair through the layer, and Beauty Image recommends it for large areas.
- Sensitive skin or sensitive areas, and the client wants nothing scented:Pink. It is the creamiest of the four, has a lower melting point, and is described as fragrance-free.
- Delicate or dry skin, but the hair is not fine:Azulene. The brand's US distributor describes it as able to remove even coarse hair on dry and sensitive skin.
- Sensitive skin, and a light scent is welcome:Olive Oil. It is creamy, made with olive fruit oil, and slightly perfumed, so skip it for a client who avoids fragrance.
- A client who is very sensitive to heat: any of the four. Beauty Image points to the low application temperature of these roll-ons as the reason they suit people who are very sensitive to heat.
What is in each cartridge
| Formula | Ingredients as published for the formula |
|---|---|
| Honey | Colophonium (Rosin), Glyceryl Rosinate, Dipropylene Glycol Dibenzoate, Hydrogenated Microcrystalline Wax, Paraffin |
| Pink | Colophonium (Rosin), Glyceryl Rosinate, Dipropylene Glycol Dibenzoate, Hydrogenated Microcrystalline Wax, Synthetic Wax, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), Red 27 Lake |
| Azulene | Colophonium (Rosin), Glyceryl Rosinate, Propylene Glycol Dibenzoate, Hydrogenated Microcrystalline Wax, Synthetic Wax, Guaiazulene, CI 77007 (Ultramarines) |
| Olive Oil | Colophonium (Rosin), Glyceryl Rosinate, Dipropylene Glycol Dibenzoate, Hydrogenated Microcrystalline Wax, Synthetic Wax, Parfum (Fragrance), Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Amyl Cinnamal, Cinnamyl Alcohol, Citral, CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 61565 (Green 6), CI 47000 (Yellow 11) |
All four lists open with colophonium (rosin) and glyceryl rosinate, which is the pine rosin base the brand is known for. That also means none of the four is a rosin-free option: for a client with a known rosin (colophony) allergy, do not use them.
The two creamy waxes, Pink and Olive Oil, are the ones with titanium dioxide (CI 77891); Beauty Image says it makes the wax softer and creamier. Honey has the shortest list, five ingredients and no honey. Olive Oil is the only list with parfum, and it names the fragrance components geraniol, hydroxycitronellal, amyl cinnamal, cinnamyl alcohol and citral.
These lists are the ones published by the brand's US distributor. A cartridge from a different production run can differ, so the label on the cartridge in your hand is the one that counts.
Single, double or triple warmer
| Warmer | Cartridges heated at once | What is in the box | A good fit when | Product |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Single | 1 | 1 cordless warmer with insulating cover | You use one formula, or you take the warmer to the client | View |
| Double | 2 | Base + 2 warmers with covers | You keep two formulas ready, for example Honey for legs and Pink for sensitive areas | View |
| Triple | 3 | Base + 3 warmers with covers | You run three formulas, or keep a spare cartridge hot for back-to-back clients | View |
Every Beauty Image roll-on warmer holds one cartridge and heats it in 20 to 30 minutes; a thermostat keeps the wax from overheating. The single warmer then holds working temperature for 30 to 40 minutes off the cord, and plugging it in again adds 5 to 10 minutes. On a base, each warmer lifts off and works as a hand-held applicator, so there is no cable in the way while you wax. More machines are in wax warmers.
How to use Beauty Image roll-on wax
- Clean and dry the skin; a pre-wax tonic such as Beauty Image Pre Depilatory Tonic removes sweat and cream residue.
- Heat the cartridge in a roll-on warmer until the wax has a honey-like consistency (about 20 to 30 minutes).
- Test the temperature on your own wrist before touching the client's skin.
- Hold the roll-on at about a 60-degree angle and roll a thin layer in the direction of hair growth.
- Press a non-woven strip over the wax, hold the skin taut, and pull the strip off quickly against the direction of hair growth, close to the skin.
- Finish with an after-wax product such as Beauty Image Post Depilation Oil to lift any wax left on the skin.
These steps follow Beauty Image's published directions for its roll-on waxes, which give 93.2 °F (34 °C) as the application temperature.
Two things the directions stress: keep the layer thin, and never pull the strip slowly or upward, because that irritates the skin and leaves hair behind. No spatula or wax pot is needed with a roll-on.
Cartridge size and cases
| Pack | Wax in the pack | Available for |
|---|---|---|
| Single cartridge | 110 ml (net wt 3.9 oz on the label) | Honey, Pink, Azulene, Olive Oil |
| Case of 52 cartridges | 52 x 110 ml = 5,720 ml | Honey, Pink |
The cartridge label and the maker's catalogue say 110 ml. Some listings, including older titles on this site, round it to 100 ml; it is the same standard-size cartridge. Each cartridge has a sealed roller head.
Beauty Image roll-on wax questions
Which Beauty Image roll-on wax is best for sensitive skin?
Beauty Image recommends Crème Pink and Nature Olive for sensitive skin and Classic Azulene for delicate skin. Pink is fragrance-free and has the lowest melting point; Olive Oil is slightly perfumed.
Which Beauty Image roll-on wax is fragrance-free?
Honey (Classic Natural) and Pink (Crème Pink) are described as fragrance-free, and the published Azulene list contains no fragrance. Olive Oil lists parfum and is described as slightly perfumed.
Is Beauty Image roll-on wax rosin-free?
No. All four published ingredient lists start with colophonium (rosin) and glyceryl rosinate. Pine rosin is the base of the brand's waxes.
Does Beauty Image Honey roll-on wax contain honey?
No honey appears in the published list. The cartridge is the Classic Natural formula and its label reads "Natural"; "honey" describes the colour of the melted wax.
How long does a Beauty Image roll-on cartridge take to heat?
About 20 to 30 minutes in a Beauty Image roll-on warmer, until the wax has a honey-like consistency. Always test it on your own wrist first.
Do Beauty Image cartridges fit other roll-on warmers?
The brand's US distributor says the cartridge fits standard roll-on wax warmers used in professional settings. Going the other way, it says other brands' cartridges may fit a Beauty Image warmer but recommends Beauty Image cartridges for it.
Do you need strips with roll-on wax?
Yes. Roll-on wax is a soft wax: it is rolled on in a thin layer and removed with a non-woven strip pulled against the direction of hair growth.
All four Beauty Image roll-on waxes, the roll-on warmers and the pre and post wax care are at M1 in Markham, for pickup or shipping across Canada.
