How to choose beauty accessories
- Single-use near the eye. Wands, swabs, tape and eye patches go in the bin after each client.
- Lay a mask cloth under modeling masks. The Silver Star face mask cloth is pre-cut gauze with openings for the eyes, nose and mouth, so an alginate or cream mask lifts off in one piece.
- Paper palettes save clean-up. Mix tint or makeup on a disposable paper sheet and throw it away; a reusable cosmetic palette needs washing and disinfecting between clients.

Why use a new mascara wand for every client?
A wand touches the lashes and the skin near the eye, so reusing one, or dipping a used wand back into a product, can carry bacteria from one client to the next. Disposable wands cost little: use one per client.
What are hydrogel eye patches for in lash extensions?
They cover the lower lashes and the skin under the eye, so the bottom lashes stay out of the way while you attach extensions to the top lashes. Place them just below the lash line without touching the eye itself.
What do I need for eyebrow threading?
Mainly a good cotton thread. Organica thread comes on 300 m spools: cut about 60 cm per client, knot it into a loop and twist it in the middle to catch and lift the hairs. Use a fresh length for each client.
