Both lines are soak-off gel polish in 15 mL bottles and cure in an LED or UV lamp. The difference is how many products go on the nail. 3STEP is the traditional system and always needs a base gel and a top gel. UNITY has base, colour and top in one bottle, so base and top are optional.

Cure times are Bio Seaweed Gel's figures for its own lamps; the brand says to double them in a lamp from another brand. Every 3STEP manicure also needs Base-1 Gel Polish and No-Wipe Top Gel Polish.

The Sculpting Gel System is Bio Seaweed Gel's soak-off builder range for overlays, sculpting and extensions. It is applied in three layers and works with the brand's gel polish. What is the difference between Bio Seaweed Gel 3STEP and UNITY?
3STEP is a traditional three-step gel polish that must be worn between a base gel and a top gel. UNITY is a one-step gel polish with base, colour and top in one bottle, and it cures with no tacky layer. Both are soak-off, come in 15 mL bottles and cure in an LED or UV lamp.
Does Bio Seaweed Gel UNITY need a base coat or top coat?
No. UNITY is made to be used on its own. Bio Seaweed Gel says a base gel can be added underneath for extra strength and a top gel on top for longer-lasting shine, and both are optional. 3STEP colours always need both.
