      Champion FAQ

What do the numbers on a Champion nail file mean?

They are the grit of each side. A Champion 100/180 file has a 100 grit side for shaping and a 180 grit side for finishing; an 80/80 file is extra coarse on both sides. The lower the number, the coarser the file.

Which Champion file grit should I use for acrylic?

Use 80 grit to remove bulk and shorten acrylic or hard gel, 100 grit to shape the side walls and free edge, and 180 grit to refine the surface and for natural nails. Champion Regular and Jumbo files in 80/80 are the usual choice for acrylic removal.

What is the difference between Champion Regular, Jumbo and Mini files?

Regular is the standard straight salon file. Jumbo is a wider board that covers more surface per stroke. Mini is a short 100/100 file meant for one client, often given to the customer or packed into a pedicure kit.

What is in the Champion 5 in 1 disposable pedicure kit?

Each kit has one mini nail file, one slim buffer, one disposable pumice pad, one toe separator and one wood stick for the cuticles. Kits are sold singly and in cases of 200, in yellow and purple.

      Who makes Champion salon supplies?

Champion is a salon-supply label from the Toronto area. Product labels read "Champion Nail"; the paraffin wax label says "Distributed by Champion Nail Wholesale, Toronto, Canada", and the zebra file packs are marked "Designed in Canada" and "Japan sandpaper".

Where can I buy Champion nail files and buffers in Canada?
