What do C, D and LC mean on a lash extension tray?
They are curl shapes. C is a natural, medium curl that suits most clients; D curls up more strongly for a lifted, open look. LC is one of the L-type curls: the lash runs straight from the base and then curves up.
Which lash thickness should I use for classic and for volume sets?
Classic sets put one extension on each natural lash, so thicker lashes such as 0.15 or 0.20 are common. Volume sets and premade fans use fine lashes such as 0.05 or 0.07, because several go on one natural lash.
Are DIY cluster lashes the same as lash extensions?
No. Extensions are bonded one by one to single natural lashes by a lash technician and stay on until they shed with the natural lash. Clusters, strip lashes and magnetic lashes are worn along the lash line for a day or an event and removed afterwards.
