Mr Nail W558 Sandwich Dual Forms, Short Oval (240 pcs) are two-part forms for gel and acrylic extensions. The top mold shapes the nail surface and the bottom mold shapes the underside of the free edge, so when you pop the forms off the extension is already shaped and needs very little filing. W558 is the short oval shape: short with a rounded tip, a natural length for everyday wear. Mr Nail recommends it especially for smaller nail beds.

Highlights
- The form is the finished shape: the underside comes out clean and smooth, with no gel build-up under the nail.
- Ultra-thin trailing edge (about 0.2 mm), so the form sits flush on the natural nail.
- Wings on both sides of the bottom mold hold the top layer in place, keep the thickness even and stop gel from overflowing when you press down.
- Clear material: you can see bubbles and the product level while curing.
- Guide lines help you line the form up. They show on the extension after you take the form off; file to shape and they disappear once gel goes on.
- Storage box with top molds in one row and bottom molds in the other, one size per compartment with large size numbers.
How to use
- Prep the nail and apply your base coat as usual.
- Pick the top mold: when in doubt go one size larger, it must cover both stress points (A–B points) of the nail. Pick the bottom mold the other way: if the matching number does not fit, go one size smaller. A bottom mold that is too big makes the extension too thin at the stress points, and it can break.
- Fill the top mold with builder or extension gel and press it on from the cuticle, with the bottom mold tucked under the free edge. Or set the top mold first, cure to fix the back, then press the bottom mold underneath to shape the underside. Cure fully.
- Pop off both molds, file the edges and finish with a top coat.
Other ways to use the molds
- Top mold on its own: use it like a single dual form, fill and press.
- Bottom mold instead of a paper form: tuck it under the free edge and build the extension on top. The numbered sizes fit different fingers.
- Repairs: tuck the bottom mold under a broken nail and fill the gap with gel.
- French: the back edge of the bottom mold has a French curve, so you can fill it with gel and press it on as a shallow form.
Good to know
- Extension too thin? Use a bottom mold one size smaller, or leave a little space between the molds instead of pressing them fully together.
- The back edge of the bottom mold is thin so it tucks under the free edge; the wings can pull it slightly inward, which does not change the result. If no bottom mold fits, trim one to shape.
- Wipe the molds clean after use and put them back in the box to reuse.
