AMDMG D460 vs D210 Pro: Which Rechargeable Nail Drill Should You Buy?
By Edmond Lin, M1 Nail & Beauty Supply, Markham, Ontario. Last updated 9 October 2026. Specifications are AMDMG's own published figures.
The AMDMG D460 and D210 Pro are both rechargeable nail drills with a coreless motor and a top speed of 35,000 RPM; the difference is the battery and the shape. The D460 keeps a 5,000 mAh battery in a control box and has a separate handpiece on a cord. The D210 Pro puts a 300 mAh battery, the screen and the controls into a single pen. Buy the D460 for full days at the table and the D210 Pro for travel, touch-ups and a second machine.

D460 vs D210 Pro at a glance
| AMDMG D460 | AMDMG D210 Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Form | Control box plus a handpiece on a coiled cord | One-piece cordless pen |
| Motor | Coreless | Coreless |
| Speed | 0 to 35,000 RPM | 0 to 35,000 RPM |
| Battery | 5,000 mAh, in the control box | 300 mAh, in the handle |
| Run time (AMDMG's figure) | Up to 24 hours in energy-saving mode | About 120 minutes per charge |
| Charging | Charging port on the control box | USB Type-C; 30 minute fast charge listed |
| Speed control | Knob on the control box | Rotate the end cap of the pen |

| Forward and reverse | Yes, button | Yes, touch control |
| Handpiece | Separate, lighter in the hand because the battery is in the box | 21 mm diameter, 165 mm long; AMDMG lists 250 g |
Both machines take interchangeable bits. Run-time figures come from AMDMG and depend on speed and load.
Which one should you buy?
- Choose the AMDMG D460 if it is your main machine. The battery is more than sixteen times the capacity of the D210 Pro's, the dial screen is easy to read from across the table, and the handpiece carries no battery weight.
- Choose the AMDMG D210 Pro if you work mobile, want a backup, or mostly do touch-ups. Nothing sits on the table and there is no cord between your hand and a box. Plan to recharge between long sets.
- Left-handed? Both switch between forward and reverse, so either works.
What the numbers mean
- Coreless motor. A coreless motor has a rotor wound without an iron core, which makes the rotor lighter. AMDMG calls it a "hollow cup" motor and advertises lower noise and vibration for it.
- RPM. Revolutions per minute of the bit. 35,000 RPM is the ceiling, not the working speed: cuticle and natural-nail work is done at low speed, product removal higher. Follow your training and the bit maker's guidance.
- mAh. Milliamp-hours, the capacity of the battery. A higher number means longer between charges at the same speed and load.
Add a dust collector: G340 Mini vs GM2
A drill makes fine dust, and a collector under the hand catches it where it is made. AMDMG has two that M1 stocks.
| AMDMG G340 Mini | AMDMG GM2 | |
|---|---|---|
| Power | USB cable from a 5 V / 3 A or 12 V adapter | Cordless, rechargeable |
| Size | 5.47 x 5.45 x 1.59 in | 7.75 x 6 x 1.75 in |
| Motor and fan | Brushless 15 W, 6,000 RPM fan | Not published by AMDMG |
| Controls | Stepless speed dial on the side | Speed dial and digital display |
| Good for | Small desks, students, a fixed station with power nearby | Mobile techs and stations without an outlet |
AMDMG states that the G340 Mini must be used with a filter cotton pad. With any collector, clean or change the filter regularly, because suction drops as it fills. A collector does not replace room ventilation. G340 Mini dust collector · GM2 cordless dust collector
