The order of a Gelish manicure
pH Bond dehydrates the nail. Foundation is the thin base gel that bonds colour to the nail. After the colour coats, Top It Off seals them with a high shine, and Nourish cuticle oil finishes the service. For hard gel and acrylic, ProBond acid-free primer goes on after pH Bond instead of Foundation. Browse all nail preps, gel base coats and gel top coats.
Questions salons ask
How long does Foundation cure? Gelish gives 5 seconds in its 18G LED light, 10 seconds in an LED light, or 30 seconds in a UV light.
Is Top It Off a no-wipe top coat? No. Gelish says to cleanse the nail with nail surface cleanser and a lint-free wipe after curing.
What is the difference between pH Bond and ProBond? pH Bond is a dehydrator that removes surface oils. ProBond is an acid-free primer that promotes adhesion of acrylics and gels; it is used after pH Bond.
