Which ibd gel is which
ibd sells six builder-type gel lines and their names are easy to mix up. The jar gels are hard gels and are filed off; Building Gel and Dual Builder Gel soak off.

What is the difference between ibd Builder Gel Clear and ibd Clear Gel?
Builder Gel Clear is the thicker gel used to build structure and length. Clear Gel is thinner: ibd describes it as a self-levelling gel that leaves a permanent high shine and seals all types of artificial nails, so it is used for overlays and as the finishing layer. Both are hard gels in the same blue-and-orange packaging, so check the name on the label.
Do ibd hard gels soak off?
No. The jar gels (LED/UV Builder Gel, Clear Gel, French Xtreme, Xtreme Hard Gel) are hard gels and are filed down for removal or rebalanced at the fill. For a soak-off product choose ibd Building Gel or Dual Builder Gel, which ibd labels as soak-off.
Which ibd pink builder sells best?
At M1, over the 12 months to October 2026, LED/UV Builder Gel Pink was the best-selling ibd product, followed by Builder Gel Clear, Clear Gel, Pink II and Pink V.
Does ibd gel need an LED or a UV lamp?
Products labelled LED/UV cure in either lamp. A few products we stock come from the older UV line and are labelled without LED: Builder Gel Ultra White, the Hard Gel Clear Gel 8 oz and UV Bonder. Use a UV lamp for those, or pick the LED/UV version.
