Pick the number by how the nail behaves, not by how bad it looks. Nails that bend and peel in layers are a 2. Nails that feel hard and snap are a 3. Nails thinned by acrylic or gel removal are usually a 4. Nail Tek's box says to move to the next appropriate formula as the nails improve. What is the difference between a Nail Tek strengthener and a system?
The strengthener is one bottle, worn as a top coat or on the bare nail and re-applied daily for seven days. A system is the whole routine for the same nail type in one pack: a Hydrate base coat, the Strengthen top coat and Renew cuticle oil. The Nail Nutrition System for healthy nails swaps the oil for a mini crystal file.

Does Nail Tek need a lamp?
No. Nail Tek strengtheners, base coats and top coats air dry and come off with ordinary nail polish remover. They are made for natural nails.
